About Us

Homestead Hero’s has been a dream for two brothers for a long time since they both served and once they left the Army they found how hard it was for a veteran to receive benefits they have already fought for. They pledged that they would see that all veterans will be put first above all else. Since 2024 they have put there dreams into reality they have given everything to insure no veteran is homeless again.

Ray Quick (President)

I proudly served in the United States Army for five years, achieving the rank of Sergeant before being medically retired. During my military career, I completed three combat deployments to Iraq, gaining invaluable leadership experience and a deep commitment to service. My time in the Army instilled in me a strong sense of duty, resilience, and a passion for supporting my fellow veterans.

Now retired from active duty, I am focused on making a meaningful impact in my community, particularly in efforts that uplift and assist those who have served. I am also a devoted husband and the proud father of two daughters and one son, who inspire me every day to lead with purpose and integrity.

Gregory Quick ( Vice President )

As a proud veteran of the United States Armed Forces, I’ve carried the values of service, commitment, and resilience with me long after my time in uniform. My military journey has shaped who I am today and inspired me to continue serving my brothers and sisters in arms in a new way. Now, as the co-founder of Homestead Hero’s, I’m dedicated to supporting homeless veterans by creating stable, dignified housing and resources tailored to their unique needs. Through this mission, I’m committed to giving back to those who have given so much—and ensuring that no veteran is left behind.

Outside of my work, I’m a family man through and through. I’m blessed with an incredible wife, six amazing kids (three boys and three girls), and a lively homestead full of love and chaos—including five goats, two dogs, two pigs, and sixteen chickens. My family is my foundation and my daily reminder of what I’m fighting for.

Thomas Cambell ( Sergeant in Arms )

My name is Thomas, and I proudly served in the United States Navy for eight years as a cook aboard aircraft carriers. During my service, I had the incredible opportunity to travel the world, visiting 34 countries. Life at sea was demanding, but deeply rewarding—there’s truly nothing like watching a sunrise or sunset with no land in sight. After my military service, I transitioned into civilian life and currently work as the Seafood Manager at City Market North, where I’ve been for the past two years. The path that brought me here has been anything but easy. I moved to this area from San Diego with my wife, full of hope for a new chapter. Sadly, she passed away a year and a half after our move. It was an incredibly difficult time, but I never gave up. Thanks to the support of some amazing people, I found the strength to keep moving forward.

Kim West ( Treasurer )

I’m Kim West I served in the U.S. Navy from 2004-2009 as an Avionics Technician on P-3 Orion aircraft. I was stationed on Marine Core Base Hawaii and Brunswick Maine Naval Air station. I went on 2 deployments, one to Japan and the other to Qatar, with detachments to Australia, Africa and Guam. After my enlistment I worked as a government contractor field service engineer in Kandahar for about a year before settling down in MD. There I helped my family dairy farm open a creamery where I worked as a manager for 7 years. Following a move to PA I went back to school for accounting, bookkeeping and Quickbooks certifications so I can work from home and have a flexible schedule to be with my husband and 4 children.
